Fines for cargo and passenger transport by road in Georgia — Code of Administrative Offences, Article 127¹ (last amended 28.04.2026, in force 01.05.2026).
— Violation of passenger/cargo transport rules (general): GEL 100; GEL 250 if minor damage results
— Violation of child transport safety rules: GEL 40
— School excursion transport requirements: GEL 200; repeat GEL 400
— Oversized or overweight vehicle on the road without authorisation/escort: GEL 1,000; repeat GEL 2,000; with minor damage GEL 2,000–3,000
— Violation of transport rules set by international treaties and conventions: GEL 5,000
— Operating passenger transport or international freight transport without a permit: GEL 1,000; repeat within a year GEL 2,000
— Missing, disabled or defective tachograph (AETR control device): GEL 5,000
— Speeding detected via tachograph inspection: GEL 400
— Carrying dangerous goods without a vehicle approval certificate or without a driver training certificate: GEL 300
— Company operating in breach of AETR rules or the speed-limiter technical regulation: up to GEL 5,000
— Violation of rules of electronic-queue parking lots for M2/M3/N2/N3 vehicles within 20 km of a land border crossing: GEL 500; repeat GEL 1,000
— Bus station operating in breach of municipal rules in a special regulation zone: natural person GEL 500, legal entity GEL 1,000
New (25.06.2026): distributor vehicles may stop and unload in BUS LANEs between 01:00 and 06:00 (conditions set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs).
